quiet dinner with R @ Charcoal.

she took the effort to ask around for good restaurants!

Charcoal's a restaurant run by Shatec, so the staff there are mainly students on attachment.

But overall, the food's quite nice, the price is cheap for a four-course meal, staff were polite & observant too.

i'll definitely visit the place again!

oh, and i've always wanted to try out this restaurant. walked past it umpteen times but never had the chance to visit it.

i've always wanted to sit in this area each time i walk past the restaurant

the first course, nicoise salad (i dunno if the spelling's correct)

there are bits of tuna in it, so for tuna lovers like me, it's really nice.

the main course, some chicken thingy with caramalized potato.

we thought the chicken's really small, but it turned out that i was too full to eat anything more than this portion!

oh, by the way, i forgot to snap a pic of the chicken soup served before this. soup was tasty too!

the choc cake for dessert. it was GOOD.
