fell off the stairs at bugis mrt yesterday, and sprained my right ankle. it was quite funny actually. i just sat at the bottom of the stairs grabbing on to my ankle, and for a few seconds, nobody came to me. then one kind malay uncle came by and asked if i was ok, and i told him i jus needed to sit for a while. haha. then another kind malay auntie came and asked if i needed help. i guess by this time, i realised my ankle's sprained and i won't be able to stand up on my own, so kind auntie helped me up and brought me to the bench. then the smrt staff, who by this time should have stopped laughing at me behind the cctv, came with a wheelchair. i'm not sure if it's cos of my low blood sugar level (i was giddy from hunger) or the pain, i started feeling nauseous! so embarrassing to be wheeled in a wheelchair to their staff pantry, it's even more embarrassing to hold a plastic bag and be making puking sounds! but i must say, the SMRT staff were really kind and helpful. they made me feel so comfortable! i had milo, water, biscuits, sweets, aircon and fan! and they helped me call bee to fetch me home. poor bee had no idea what happened, and rushed down in a cab to find me in a wheelchair!
anyway, i now have a sprained right ankle. it sucks especially since i still have to go to school and this and that. i know i should be stayin home, but after cutting down on all that i can cut down, i still need to go out almost everyday for school-related stuff. oh well..... hopefully the ankle heals in time for next wed. hafta see a client on wed, have to be at KKH on thurs to observe the psychs, have to be in church on sat and sun for children's church stuff.. Lord please heal me super quick!
oh, and a big shout out to the staff at SMRT (if you happen to ever read this obscure little blog) - Thanks Kumar, Rudy and Emily (or is it Elaine?). I wouldn't have made it home without your help!
oh, maybe i should write them a formal thank you card instead....
