Reflecting Him

watched the star awards last nite. wat struck me most wasn't the pretty dresses or who won wat awards etc etc. wat struck me most was the number of celebrities who were bold enough to thank God on national tv. most notably was of course Chew Chor Meng who quoted Isaiah 40!

it may seem to be a recent "trend" for celebs to give thanks to God durin the awards these few years, or perhaps one celeb doing so gives another the boldness to follow suit. Either how, i am glad. i always remembered Ps. Paul Goulet's sharin during retreat some years back. in that retreat, he shared about how Christians need to reclaim 5 areas of the world, and i remember that media was one of them.

these are the last days. the time is now for us to stand up for wat we believe in, to be a vessel for the Lord, to be a testimony for Him, and to be a blessing. It's not easy, the harder we try, the harder the enemy works. It takes courage to stand for what we believe in. Take the recent AWARE saga for instance, u get attacked left right and centre for tryin to do something u believe is right. Like bro mike says, "the time will come when world will not tolerate Christians. We stand for light but the world love darkness rather than light ".

pray we'll all (including me) rise up in faith and in boldness, that each of us will be diamonds sparkling with the glory of the Lord, that indeed one day, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord!
