New Camera!

I got a new camera!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, i struggled for the longest time whether to buy a new one or not. i know my canon one is still workin, but not perfectly well la. it's like really slow, eaach time u take one pic, u gotta wait like ten seconds or more to be able to take the next shot. then i experienced times when the camera jus hung midway while closing or opening. then of course, it's worn out la. i struggled between buyin n not buyin.. i mean, w the PC show, it's really really tempting leh.. but i stuck on. YET, the last straw (or rather 2nd last straw) came when my camera refused to click during yee's wedding! so embarrasing lor.. the professional cameraman helped us take pictures with our cameras, and MINE jus refused to click no matter how long or short he pressed it. urgh. then i asked myself if i can live with it, so i concluded tat i probably will be embarrassed a few more times, but as long as i use it myself, it should be ok la. But, this mornin, i woke up with the realisation tat the GST hike is coming!!!!!! if i wanna buy, it has to be now or never!

so i did. got me sony cybershot DSC W-80. was deciding between this n the other more expensive T50, but eventually decided i hafta buy within my budget (price diff is 150 bucks leh). well, i'm still happy w my buy la. except tat it jus dawned on me tat i din buy the extra batt (they sellin it at promo price of 50 bucks instead of normal 80) so if my batt die i cannot use it anymore until it's charged again. i remember tat the last time i bought the canon one cos i din wan the hassle of charging batt, and it's super convenient to jus buy batt off the shelve, esp when u're overseas (had a bad experience w rechargeable camera-specific batt while in korea). but it's too late. too late. too late. maybe i'll consider buyin the 80 bucks batt (sigh, i could haf saved 30 bucks! wat was i thinking??). oh well.

but for now, i'm quite satisfied w my buy la. camera is still considered pretty compared to the old one, it has the anti-shake thingy so i dun hafta worry abt others using my cam to help me take pics (only bee n i noe how to use the old one since it's super shaky), and it's so much more portable since it's a "chick" camera (catered to ladies i feel).

okie, i think i'm experienceing cognitive dissonance here. poorer by 450 bucks leh.. tat means i cannot save this month. tsk tsk tsk, cannot buy anymore tech stuff this yr, maxed out my limit already. sigh.. camera's gd, camera's gd.. no regrets, no regrets...
