2nd post from korea

it's 10.22am. was suposed to have a class at 9 but the lecturer din turn up. waited til 930 b4 we decided it was time to head back. thankfully, this class has only 4 pple, so not alot of pple were affected. anyway, my friend and i tried taking the uni's internal shuttle bus back to dorm but we missed the stop. there wasn't any button to press so we missed it. then we realized we had to stand at the door to indicate out wish to get off. quite interesting la. anyway, we got back safely lor.

inititally i had a very packed schedule from 9 to ard 3 everyday, but for these 2 weeks, my lecturer for the 11am class is going for a conference in Greece, so we have time for lunch. finally. haha. anyway, i was actually quite surprised that the lecturer would leave us to go for that conference. i mean this is a 6 weeks semester, with four lessons each week, including mid term and final exams; and we're missing 2 whole weeks of class. i'm amazed leh.. but as my friend said, the conference prob does more for his academic career than teaching our class. oh well. at least we get 2 or 3 makeup classes when he returns. (not that i'm terribly enthu abt classes but i guess this' the least a student should expect from the teacher la.)

ok, anyway, i was terribly homesick yesterday. prob cos i finally had some time to myself and to relax a little, and i got phonecalls frm both alvin and my parents. can't help crying altho i know there's nothign big to cry abt. i really miss them ma. thankfully, the first week whizzed past already. 5 weeks left and i'll be home. i hope the babies at home remember me.

we're having this test for korean lang later, and i'm not totally prepared for it. somehow, i keep confusing korean with thai. whenever i wanna write a korean word, i'll think of the thai consonants and all. humph. but i think i enjoyed thai more leh, prob cos it was less stressful. i mean the korean lang teacher's going really fast cos we missed one lesson, and everythin's just so packed. we have to study for the class every single day cos there's quiz of some sort every lesson. it just takes the joy out of studyin the language. and the most ironic thing is that altho korean is taking up the largest amt of time, i don't get to bring the credits back home. even if i fail the course, it still doesn't matter to my school, except for the fact that it'll look ugly for me on my transcript la.
oh well.

think i should stop here for the day. gotta prepare for the quiz ah..
